Default Just Before Dusk

Camera Sony DSC H50
focal length 37.8
f/4
Exposure 1/125
Exposure comp -0.3
no flash

Reason for taking this shot was trying to capture the different cloud formations along with the last of the setting sun which was disappearing rapidly. What other suggestions are there for improving this shot

the reason doesnt show in your pic, not with the tree smack center in the frame..and the parked vehicle on the right. A smaller aperture.. f13-f16 is nicer for landscapes / sunsets, try that next time and dont forget the tripod too.

The second attempt is a little better. Try using the rule of thirds (that tree is still pretty close to the center of the frame. Also, maybe a little less of the pavement in the foreground. It takes emphasis away from the clouds.

I'm gonna get this right if it kills me! Still looking for correct composition for this shot.

Another point of view. I fixed the perspective and cropped with golden mean.
