![]() http://www.flickr.com/photos/adrianahg/4335292805/ Hi, I would like your opinion on my postprocessing of this image, and if you feel like it, about the shot in general. I wanted to make the bubble pop so I left it out of the sepia filter in Photoshop. But now it looks a little too "forced" to me, you know? So, what do you guys think? I use a Canon EOS 1000D Camera with kit lens, I am a tota begginer so would appreciate any help at all! Thanks a lot =) Cámara: Canon EOS 1000D Exposición: 0.01 sec (1/100) Aperture: f/5.0 Lente: 37 mm ISO: 200 Tendencia de exposición: 0 EV Flash: Off, Did not fire Last edited by Nicole; 03-27-2010 at 07:22 PM. I don't have a problem with the post processing. It's a good shot. It's not great, but good, so stop worrying about it and go make a better one.

A few things that might help your edit.................. This image needs some contrast. To do this , use the unsharp mask...........set to large radius and small amount. Try somewhere around 30 and 0.30. Adjust with the opacity slider. Set the blending mode to value so the colors won't change. Some selective saturation could help it pop as well. Make a dup. layer and add some saturation to it..........over do it a little. Then make a layer mask set to black. Next, brush in the saturation where you want it and adjust the opacity of the brush to get the desired amount for each area. To brush in, select the brush tool and pick a soft tip.........select the color white and adjust the opacity of the brush. Paint on the mask and the saturation will show through. Some saturation on the bubble will help make it pop. You can also increase or decrease saturation of a color as well. Just click on the saturation tool and you can pick a color you want saturated. |

How you could make it better... well, how I would have tried to make it a bit better is to have moved around the scene and had the bubble on a much less distracting background if it were possible.
I find my eyes whip around the photo as there are many points of interest, but generally they come back to the bubble... I think it would work better if it was just a little less cluttered. Sime
