Winding Snowy Mountain Road

I like this image (from a composition perspective), but i'm unsure about the foreground.

I feel that the foliage on either side of the road in the foreground is a bit too dominant and distracts the eye from its natural flow (ie, along the windy road towards the background of the image).

What does anyone else think? Would the image improve if the foreground was darker and contained less details (thereby emphasising the road and the horizon)?

The part that is more distracting than the sides for me, is the white ball in the sky. maybe clone over it a little or crop it out and see what you think. As it is, you have a wonderful image but that bright light just doesnt seem to help it flow

My first thought was, with the muted colors and the subject, that it would look really good as a greyscale photo.

Yeah -that thought had crossed my mind....not when I was taking the shot, but when I first saw it on my laptop. The tones and complete lack of natural colour make it a very viable candidate all right.

I don't know...the sun doesn't distract me....and nor does the foliage. It is a very natural looking shot......Quite frankly, I wouldn't change a thing except to maybe make it a black and white image
