Default Reconciling the hot and cold

I really like how there can be two such different sceneries in a picture but somehow the tree in the center bothers me. For some reason, the composition doesn't look/feel right. Is there a better way to compose the picture while maintaining the capture of both scenes? What do you think of the level adjustment?

I really like what you're trying to do here. It is definitely a very interesting shot. You're right though, something feels off about it. I think the tree in the foreground really takes a lot away from the picture, and for it feels like it's tilted a bit, but it may just be an illusion created by the difference in color. Short of taking the shot again from a different spot, maybe try cropping out the grass in the foreground, I don't feel it adds much to the picture. I think it could be a really beautiful pic with a little work. I would love to download it and play with it a little if you don't mind.

I think the problem is that the grass doesn't transition with the rest of the photo. If you had the grass transitioning from hot to cold it wouldn't seem so strange. Nice concept, btw.
