Default A house in Leshnitsa

Larger pic can be seen in my blog.

What do you think of the colors in this shot. Also what do you think of the light on the house, is it too dark?

A very beautiful picture with an interesting subject and good composition.
It makes me wonder what the house looks like, so I think, yes. It is too dark for me. Also there seems to be some halo-ing around the roof. Haloing, the lightness around the roof, is a very pervasive post processing artifact. As a newby I have my problems with Halos myself. I really don't know the solutions for it, but maybe one of the more experienced members will give us some pointers! Anyone?

I would love to see more of your Leshnitsa!

I think that the halo is there because of the direction of the light. The only thing that I have retouched in this photo is the exposition. The sky was a litlle overexposed.

Could be, but I have noticed it doesn't take much. I get halos from changing the exposure. See how it is bright all around the dark roof line? Classic Haloing. You can just make out the beginnings of it in the black and white conversions of my shots here;

(just a shortened DPS link)

Can anyone point us newbys to a tutorial describing Haloing and ways to mitigate it?
