Default The Beach

Here's a shot a took while on my honeymoon. What are your thoughts about the backpack and flipflops in the shot? Do they take away from it?

How did I do on the exposure? I think it might be a tad overexposed.

Critique away!

Thanks for taking the time to look at my photo and giving me your feedback.

Very nice photo IMO it may be a more dramatic shot without the backpack and sandals, but it is a very natural shot as is. The personal items add an intimate touch, you can imagine the owners just down the beach barefoot!

I can feel the sun, but having said that it seems just a tad overexposed. I wouldn't have noticed the bag nearly as much had you not explicitly pointed it out.

Congrats on your recent marriage.

I think a different bag would be better--that one doesn't quite look like it fits with the rest of the scene and is therefore distracting. The sandals are just fine.

Thank you for taking the time to give me your feedback. I'll have to try out my hand in Photoshop to get the exposure better. I am new to the post production process so it should prove fun!

I hadn't thought about the bag not fitting with the rest of the scene....thanks! This will force me to think about my shots a little more before snapping the shutter.

I would just go for the bikes on their own the other elements make it a bit cluttered.
