Hi. When I first framed this up I thought it would make an interesting shot, with the tiny figure emphasising the open space and sky, with the simple, muted blues and browns. Having looked at it a few times I'm not sure whether I like it or not. Part of me thinks the scale and the muted colours are really interesting but part of me wonders where the wow factor is that I thought was originally there. What do you think?

Try adjusting the levels. I bet you can pull out a pretty dramatic sky. Or, you can crop out a lot of the sky and make a panoramic out of it.

I kind of see where you were going with this.
Usually with a composition like this, the power points are roughly 1/4 of the frame in both directions. To get the exact power points , draw a diagonal line from the bottom right corner(doing this one because the person on the beach should be near a power point) to the top left corner. Now draw a line that is square to the first line and runs up to the top right corner. The intersection of these two lines is the power point. Do this for all four corners and you will have the 4 power points. If you crop some of the top and right side off, you can get the person on the beach closer to a power point. It would be nice if you could add a little to the foreground so you don't have to crop as much. As far as wow factor, a little editing couldn't hurt. I looked at the histogram and the levels wasn't even adjusted. Just doing that will make a huge difference. Nice shot, i like it. A couple quick edits ![]() power points.............do the same the other way

I agree with PrimeTime -- and I do think you have something very good here. A little levels/curves, some cropping, and you'd have a nice sky with an excellent sense of scale an space.

I've done a quick copy paste, adjust and crop.
The sky is expansive without drama, so felt you could lose it. Not sure if the B&W works.
