Default Two Towers with Sunset

I went out tonight and fired off some shots, but am not the most pleased with them, and this one is probably the best tonight... I wanted to get more of an angle as the tower on the left is actually a bridge for trains but when i did that i would lose others...

thoughts... opinions please...

cropped bridge tower
Exposure: 0.013 sec (1/80)
Aperture: f/8.0
Focal Length: 55 mm
ISO Speed: 200
Exposure Bias: +1 EV

Cropped some of the sky and foreground, and bumped up the levels alittle

I look forward to hearing from you

When taking a picture, one has to ask what is the subject of the picture? right now i find nothing of interest that really stands out as a main subject. The towers are too small to stand out, the sky is rather borring and the tracks are leading out of the shot. Sorry.

I would have to agree, you have got to find a better angle.
The towers are the subject.
You want to include the tracks.
Could you go off to the left of the left tower, frame it large and some how include the second tower and tracks?
Love the industrial theme, color and silhouettes.

You don't have to put everything in the same frame. Sometimes less is more. Rather than trying to fit everything in, concentrate on one item and make it the star of the show.

And try to keep the horizon level, putting a vertical object right at the edge of the frame just highlights the crookedness.

Default Story board idea

I would keep the lovely bare trees silhouetted against the sunset with the water tower on the right in 4:3 or 16:9 format in upright or portrait format allowing the snow, tree branches and clouds to become leading lines, then I would keep the bridge tower. rail line on the left, also format in the same upright or portrait format, and correct the image angle so that the bridge tower is "fixed" vertically...that would also allow the tracks to allow the eye to follow the lines to the bridge tower. I don't think there is composition for a middle third within this image that could stand on its own.

From Assignment Storyboards....

To set up your storyboard, check out Big Huge Labs. They have something called a Mosaic Maker. Choose choose 1 column 2 rows or 2 columns 1 row. Now plug in your shots. If you have a similar way of presenting your storyboard, that's okay, too.

SriMesh, good ideas on saving the shot without re-shooting!
