Default Mushrooms

So I'm very new to photography. I've had my camera for less than a month but I'm trying and need some feed back. Any advise is greatly appreciated. Let me know, Thanks Kelly

I really like the shot. I think it's beautiful, well-composed, with great colors. I would suggest bringing the exposure down a tad because it looks slightly over-exposed. You could also try to boost the saturation and contrast a tad too. Great that shot!

I find the clutter around the mushrooms abit distracting.

If I were you:
- I will remove some of the "clutter".
- Take this shot at eye level to the mushrooms, which will give you a different perspective.
- A shallow DOF to allow us to focus on the mushrooms.

My 2 cents.

Hi Kmc and welcome to DPS. You have lauched in with a good shot here. Fungi is a great subject to prctice on. I find the twig going from top to bottom of the frame very distracting. I would have removed that. And these little guys look great from a very low viewpoint. May have to get a little messed up, and may get a few funny looks but worth it. Here's what I mean by way of an illustration. Subject position is poor on this but viewpoint is what I am trying to illustrate. PAUL

Wall fungus

Thanks for all of your wonderful feedback, I'm gonna try and get back out there and see if I can take all of it and get a better picture. This has been an amazing learning experience for me already and it's only the first picture. So once again Thank all of you I am extremely grateful for all of your opinions.
