What a captivating shot! Were you using bulb exposure or was this by chance? I saw the other shots on Flickr and they are equally astounding! Very nice work!
Edit: Absolutely you should keep the barbed wire!

The wire is hardly visable in the photo posted, but I do not think that I would delete.
With reference to the noise, which does not appear to be obvious in the photoposted, I note the ISO speed used is 100 which should have been pretty darn good, so I guess the next question is, RAW or JPEG and have you perhaps cropped the image...?? I am no expert, so lets hope someone will give you a more professional answer to your question. Regards Gav |

Jason,
This is a fantatic shot. The mood captured is violently tranquil, if there was any such thing. Alan

Wow! Fantastic! I would leave the barbed wire. It looks like man's meager attempt to fence in the forces of nature. As far as the noise -- what noise? If there is any, I think it was worth the trade-off for such crispness in the clouds and the lightning strike. Just my humble opinion.

Wow that is a once in a lifetime shot, I like it just the way it is with the barbed wire.
