Default Kodak Z712 IS

I bought this camera over a year ago and have been using it more recently, as hubby and I are both taking up amateur photography. Today my flash stopped working. I went through the troubleshooting techniques to no avail. The camera cost @ $225 and I don't want to spend a fortune getting it repaired. Does anyone know if #1 it can be repaired and #2 what the problem might be? I've searched on the internet but couldn't find anything relating to a faulty flash. Thanks in advance.

Default whati have done

If you have the time send a letter to Kodak and explain the situation often, they will tell you to mail it in and they will repair it for free... It is worth a try?
At the least they might tell you what is wrong with it.

has anyone used the lens attachments out there for the Kodak Easyshare Z712 ? They aren't THAT expensive, but do not want to spend the money if it isn't worth it. Have been frustrated with closeup and macro shots with camera alone. Any ideas?
