Exclamation Kodak EasyShare Z981 Vs. Fujifilm FinePix S2550

I'd like to pick the brains of my fellow forum members regarding the selection of my next camera which I'll be picking up in a few months. I've read great reviews - and not so great reviews - for both cameras. With my limited experience with a camera, I'm thinking the naysayers simply don't fully understand the capabilities of their camera. Again, I'm a novice so I could be wrong. My question is simple: which do you think is better?

The Kodak Z981 or Fujifilm's S2550

Thanks in advance for your advice.

Default kodak z981

Hello,
I just received this camera for christmas, I am very new to digital photography, only other digital camera is a polaroid that I really enjoyed . Just want to say I realize that most people on this site use much better equipment, but I am really enjoying everything I am learning.
Also would like to share a pic I took at the lake on 1-1-11 , not within the challenge week for a spot of color but I really like this shot and would love input .
Thank you100_0262.jpg

Default Newbie

Hi! I just joined this forum and in looking for comments on the Kodak Z981, I came across this thread. I have been using a Kodak C613 and C813 until just recently when I purchased the Z981. I have been playing with it about two weeks and for me it is great. I have the ability to let the camera do it manually, which I didn't even do on the two smaller cameras, or I can up my level and learn more about aperture, shutter, ISO by doing them manually, which I choose to do. I have attached three pictures that I took of the same subject, but varying the light in each frame. (hope I did it right). Anyway, the long and the short is that I am enjoying using the camera, I like the quality of the picture that I can get, and like that I can vary settings my way if I want.
