Default House and Sky!!

Hi folks, here is an image of my girlfriends grandparents house i took over the past few snowy days!! when i took the shot the day was very overcast and dull with not much light to show features, also the Postie had just rode his bike up to the front door spoiling the otherwise pristene white snow.

Hamp House

I started opening Photoshop and finding an old holiday snap with a really great blue sky with amazing cloud formation. This was then applied as a semi-transparent layer on top of the house, then using the Eraser removed the sky covering the house.
Then the snow was sorted by using the clone brush to cover up the Postie's bike tracks.
Levels was applied to the original image and a basic frame and stamp added.

Hope you like

Paul...

Fantastic! I was just going to say, where in the world can you get such a beautiful sky with snow on the ground, pretty rare that happens, then I read the post. Thanks for sharing on how you did it

Nicely done. Now that I know you did it I can see it but otherwise I would have just thought it was a pretty sky. I would maybe lower the saturation just a touch to make it blend a bit better.
