No, the silence is because this is the "How I Took It" section and everyone is waiting with bated breath for details of how you got the image in more detail than "I came round the corner"...

Wulf

ps. for example, was this straight out of the camera or have you merged a couple of pictures together.

Is the top one biting the bottom one, or just sitting over him?

Cool shot...

That's funny! In the thumbnail version, it really looks eight legged. Sorry, no weird animal pics from me unless you count my slightly weird old cat.

I've got this shot of a two-headed turtle:

Turtle with two heads

I didn't discover it on my own, though... this guy was in a tank at a nature preserve's welcome center. I still thought he was pretty interesting.

There isn't anywhere really obvious... perhaps we need a "snapshots" forum for pictures that came out really well without a lot of careful preparation and which might inspire similar images from others?

Default Unknown Gecko

I understand that this is a very old thread, but came across it while trying to kill time at work....That photo of the 8 legged lizard is pretty amazing....

Anyways i spotted this exotic looking gecko on a recent trip to thailand....the lizard was about the lenght of my forearm n hiding in the toilet....pretty freaky....

After gathering some nerve, i decided to enter the toilet and take a photo of this crazy lizard, but did'nt manage because of low light...had to use the flash..!! which drove this creature nuts...started running all over the room....but managed to get one shot out of the 15-20 that i took....

i did'nt manage to ID it so far...no pictures of it on Google....Infact I got in touch with the Global Gecko Association (Yes there is something like that), however still havnt heard from them....Maybe some one can help me ID it....
