I've always been fascinated with taking pictures of reflections off unusual objects. Most fascinating are reflections off puddles on the streets. The technique is quite simple. Make sure you are dressed comfortably. Ladies may find it more comfortable to wear pants or bermudas. Get down real low to the ground and examine the puddle from all angles. Once you get the view you want, focus on the reflection. If the subject is bright, focusing shld be easy. If the subject is not that bright, your lens may focus off the surface of the water instead of on the reflected subject. In this case, you will need to do a manual focus instead. Here's an example that I took on the street of Chinatown, Singapore.

That's a great idea. I often see reflections on top of pools of water or puddles in the street after a rainfall but have never got close to see what other reflections are actually there.
Thanks for the article. Got to go now I'm off to find some reflections. Al
