Default Manchester Piccadilly Station Panorama

Piccadilly station

Hi Folks, my first post here! and got to say what a great recource this site is...i absolutly love it...

Anyway here is an image i created last night on the way home from work, I am a Railway Engineer so i spend a lot of time at this station. Yestedrday while at work i was reading the post about 'The Brenizer Method' and the way multiple shots can be stitched together to make one large image....it got me thinking!
I have been thinking about this shot for a while but did'nt know how to go about it, so last night after what i had read i took my phone (A SonyEricsson C902) to the top of platform 6 and started taking pictures!!
Yes the qualtiy is poor and a bit fuzzy (Dust and dirt from my pocket on the lens...lol) but my aim was to see what i could create in 5 minutes on my way home!! All the pictures were loaded into Photoshop and stitched together...no post production what so ever!

So guys and gals all comments very welcome..

Cheers...

Paul..

Hi Paul and welcome to DPS. I have difficulty making a phone call on one of those things and here you are taking a panoramic photos. Your post is way too big mate. I would love to see it downsized, but hey you are off to a start at least and I hope it's the first of many. I walk this platform often. Might see you there. If you se a photog in all sorts of compromising positions, it's probably me! Take care. PAUL

thats fantastic - proves the point that the best camera is the one in your hand at the time.

nice to see the cops didn't pick you up for taking images in a station - they are OTT these days

Paul

Congratulations. That's f'ing brilliant! AND it's a good picture. I'm going to be on the prowl now for just such an opportunity. So what if it is fuzzy. I bet with some more trial and error you could get some really sharp end results. Bravo.
