Default fairytale forest

I was hiking in Algonqiun Park when I spotted this shot
It reminded me of those fairytale movies
Intend was to capture tis as a nonthreatening forest
My idea was to split the image in half since too much moss will give somewhat
"dark" forest feel. Dark log on the right would ad a little mystery and bright leaves in backround would cheer up the mood
Picture is original - no post process, not even cropping
It was taken 2nd Oct 2008
shutter 1/40
f/3.2
ISO 100
focal length 21mm zoom lens
Not totaly happy with it, as usual
Would you done anything different?
Specialy with composition and exposure
Starting to tinker with HDR maybe this pic would be a good candidate ?
Thanks

I love things that have to do with fairy tales! I hope you come back and post a picture too!
