That's great! I've got to make more of an effort to use mine. I always remember after I download my pictures to the computer.

I've got one that always lives on my 18-200vr lens, and one 77mm that I switch between three other lenses as needed.

I used to use my polarizer a lot but honestly I can't remember the last time I used it now. I use my 24-70 as my primary lens for the most part. I have a cokin polarizer that is large enough to fit this glass but it will not work with the lens hood on. I prefer to have the lens hood on all the time to help protect the lens and reduce flare.

The main thing I liked about polarizer was it's ability to eliminate or reduce reflections off surfaces. I haven't had a situation recently where I needed to reduce a reflection. If I want a deep blue sky I have a few photoshop techniques I use to emulate the effect of a polarizer on a blue sky that works fairly well.

If my filter and hood could work together I would probably use it more but still not as often as I used to. I often found myself forgetting to rotate the polarizer when I would have it on my lens and especially forgetting to take it off when it's not needed. It can really hurt you when shooting when there is not much available light.

I do think however a polarizer and a several neutral density filters to be the most useful filters available.

Hey thanks a bunch... I was getting frustrated with the filter... but I knew it wasn't because of the filter, it was because I didn't know how to use it properly...
