This was one of my point and shoot photo. I thought it came out great but was told that this has poor lighting/composition.

hmm...this one has a focus problem as the head of the duck is not in focus...i think the compostion is Ok but the over-exposed area on the top left makes the photo looks all its charm......
I am sure you can do better

Sorry about for taking me forever to post an image


One of my reasons was because I just bought my DSC-H1 camera. This was three years or so ago. I don't recall of any special steps other than zooming. What prompted me to take this was because I have two ducklings myself (figuratively speaking.) I have a printed copy of this in my office and was told that this was a great capture. I thought this was great too; but the more I read about photography, I see that this could have been done better.

I looked at your portfolio - flickr, and they are all beautiful.

I wished I could do better on this one but Im pretty sure this ducklings have their own ducklings already.
