By default, linked images have a border around them. You can control this by making an attribute within the IMG tag (see example below). When you write: border="0", the number represents the thickness of the border in pixels. Zero equals no border.
This comes in handy when you want to present your image nicely using a simple drop shadow for example. When preparing your image in photoshop don't forget to match the background layer to the color of the webpage! ![]() and it should look like this...

well i have a better idea for the shadow .. the first one ..
u don't have to adjust the background same color as the webpage .. as Wulf said .. the background might be changed any time .. then the solution is Transparent .. make ur photo with the shadow effect in photoshop .. and then totally remove the back ground .. when u save as for web .. choose file type *.png-24 (it has to be 24 bit .. it won't work with 8 bit) and check mark transparent checkbox .. and Viola!! it will work with the shadow even if DPS (or any other website) changed the back ground everyday .. i won't use to change any thing ..

That won't work from Flickr. I think you can access the original version as a PNG but resized version will be JPEG. You could of course use a different host.

Still showing here.
If you were an ubergeek, you could pull the image into a web server (possibly from Flickr or another source), add a translucent drop shadow, resize to be no more than 800px on the longest side and then serve it up to requesting clients as well as giving you the code to easily embed here.... I think I can probably live with the default borders though ![]() Wulf |
