I really like this effect! Besides being great all by themselves, I think this makes great backgrounds. It's fun and creative!
I hope I have a change to get out this weekend and try it with the fall colors.
Thanks for sharing

Great idea! The possibilities seem to be endless. I can carry the camera into the flower garden and simply move the camera along quickly with shutter at half second or one. Must try it out

Thanks, These were my first set.

After those, I went out again and did basically what you are saying Koshi, and posted them here:

http://digital-photography-school.co...ing-rules.html

The yellow in the pictures are Goldenrod, and the purple are New England Aster...Both are roadside weeds in Ohio. But they turned out well as a motion blur.

Last week, I did a zoom blur pic that I had to PS with another picture of the same ear of corn to get the center sharp...ish. :

Enjoy, and thanks for looking and your comments.

Thanks Peeper, I sort of got interested in it during a photo contest that I go to every year. They had this abstract photography category that had some wonderful shots. The winner had a macro picture of reproducing moss that had been motion blurred to look like tall trees. I am going to try and get a white trillium with a zoom blur, or something like that. It looks to be a promising and fun study!
