Default Wasp coming at me!

This picture was one of about 2000(!) I took in a few days. The camera was handheld with shutter speed of 1/1000 and built on flash. I focused manually at about 10 cm and than just fired away mostly at wasps that was about to take of from a flower.

The image is cropped a little.
A few more images, mainly macros:

Edit: I cropped the picture a little bit but it did not show maybe because I had to put it on Picasaweb...
Original picture below but smaller size.

I was really hoping to see an old white guy in boat shoes running at you, but great shot nonetheless :-)

Hi there and "Welcome" to the site, I hope you have fun here.
This is a cracking image if a little too large for this page, I would like to see it slightly cropped towards the wasp to let us see more detail. But for a first image its a beaut!!!
Well done and thanks for sharing.
David.

What a great capture. I agree that the image is a little large for the page and a little tighter crop would be good, otherwise very nicely done. Thanks for sharing and welcome to DPS.

I agree that the picture was too big for this site so I cropped it a little.

The camera used was a Sony DSC-H2.
