I saw this on your photostream and was wondering how the heck you did it! Thanks so much for spilling the beans, it's a really terrific shot!

I know I'm a bit late, but very nice photo!

I'm a new comer here on DPS and this made me wonder, what were the thoughts behind choosing to do it like that versus taking the photo with a fast shutter speed and while actually really throwing the cards?

I'm guessing that your method gives you more control on many aspect of the shot..
is there more advantages that I didn't think of?

Thanks!

Fantastic stop action shot. You shot at precisely the right moment. Excellent illustration.

I haven't been here for a while. I'm working on movies and trying to find an editor that I really like and want to purchase. Meanwhile my still photography has slacked off to near zero. Once I get set up with my videos, I'll get back to working with stills as well. Currently its a matter of a rather steep learning curve. It reminds me a bit of when I first started working with photoshop.
