Hello....I just registered here today...am looking for help for tonite....I have a NikonD3 and don't know much in fotography...I want to catch the full moon tonite....but I dont know how to do it to get a perfect photo.....HElp !....thanks

thanks to your tips last night from my front porch and bedroom window I was able to capture my first shot of the full moon.
I dont think I did so bad either.
I mean I would love for it to pop out like yours but not to bad..

heres my try from last night, im new to this forum, looking forward to reading your comments/suggestions

Equipment : Nikon D50 - Lens: Quantaray 70-300mm
Settings: F:/5.6 Shutter: 1/200



another one at a slightly different setting

Here's my humble attempt

ISO 100
f/8
1/320
300mm

moon 4-9-9

Borrowed(stole) my father's EF 75-300 lens for the project

tbh I'm not overly impressed with the final result. I used tripod, cable release and mirror lock-up but something is letting me down.
Feel free to point out what it is if you know.

nice attempt gazsus, thats exactly how mine looked before i cranked up the contrast and zoomed in... you can see it in the post right above yours

Focal Length: 210 mm

ISO Speed: 100
