you've got some really great moon shots in your pbase gallery. I'd love to try this but I don't have a long enough lens (yet)

Hi guys... need a small help (surely a dumb question)..

i'm using Sony DSC-H50 camera.. i have tried with many manual settings to get the pic of the moon and its always worst than the auto setting... If someone could help me with the settings on my DSC-H50 cam to capture the pic of the moon that would be a great help... Thnx in Advance...

The Moon on Flickr - Photo Sharing!

Camera: Nikon D40
Exposure: 0.006 sec (1/160)
Aperture: f/11.0
Focal Length: 200 mm

Not quite that sharp though.. I think that i will use a traypod next time.. I have a 18-200 mm lence, but still think that this could work..

Thx for the tutorial, keep up the good work..

Default I finally was able to attempt this!

It was very clear out tonight so I thought I'd give this a try! Thanks for all of the contributions on this thread; the original post and several comments helped!
