Hey All...
One of the questions I asked weren't aswered by Ryan. So can anyone else help out. My question is that the flash light used, does it have to be a small one like maglite or it can also be a normal sized flash light.. Another question is that do you throw the light and let is swing naturally or keep holding it. If you throw the light then is there a special technique to throw it or just doing it randomly ????? Will appreciate if you can answer. P.S. @dlm: Sir, people have used cloured gels on flash lights other than camera lens, though the results would be different. Just wanted to let you know... ^ I used a small light, single LED, cheap one from a dollar store. Experiment with how far the light is from the camera. I also found getting a good balance were the string is tied, the light does not wobble to much for clear lines.

i simply threw mine randomly. sometimes i threw it straight across, other times i went for circles. the key to getting similar images to mine is to use a mini maglight and a wide angle lens. this way you can have really long exposures with fine lines and not too much light coming from the flashlight. my string was also attached to a hook that was hinged. so the string was swinging in circles and the hook was also moving back and forth.
