I was in hiatus in this forum for a while. Uh, for the skin, I got the technique from a local magazine (but really nice mag about photography), I-Mag. You use the Surface blur to smoothen the skin.

Duplicate the layer, then apply Surface Blur. Then erase unnecessary parts. The glossy part in the face, that's another layer, and I used... brush!

Soft brush using low opacity settings and the color should be white. Lightly click on areas that you need to have the "gloss". Oh, don't forget to set the blending mode of the brush layer to "Overlay".

Then that's it!

happy birthday! That's a GREAT photo!! I LOVE surreal digital photo/art. I've done some stuff myself, but this is a great idea! I should go home and try something myself!
