Solitary trees, if they grow at all, grow strong on Flickr - Photo Sharing!

Camera: D90
Lens: 18-105mm VR kit lens
Camera Mode: Aperture Priority
Shutter Speed: 1/250
Aperture: f/11
ISO: 200
Tripod: No

Location: Outskirts of loughborough, near to Stanford on Soar.

Processing:
- 3 x RAW files (-2, 0, +2) imported into Lightroom 2.
- Tonemapped the three files using Photomatix, new version re-imported into Lightroom.
- Various tweaks made, including: Vibrancy, clarity, and contrast all increased. Blues slightly saturated.
- Saved out as Tiff and resized/sharpened using Photoshop.
- Saved out as a jpg.

gpics07 I love this shot.
You are obviously a good photographer.
But it is in your PP skill that you excel.
I just love everything about the shot.
It is so solid.

Thank you for your very kind comments

I've only recently got into processing my shots (I got my first SLR in March), so I'm still very much learning the basics. I find a tool like Lightroom great for trying out multiple ideas through the use of presets.

The vividness in this photo is wonderful. Great composition. It would make a really cool computer screensaver.
