Lightbulb Golden street

4 - Golden street

I was waiting for one person near the subway station on a rainy wheather when I noticed that the top of a car I was standing next to was covered with raindrops that reflected the light of a street lamp, and it was stunningly beautiful. So I took my camera and did this:

1. Zoomed in - my kit lens max focus length is 55mm.
2. Switched to Aperture Priority mode and set the aperture to the highest value (f/5.6).
3. Turned the manual focus on and focused that way that the lights are out of focus.

These three steps helped me to get such a nice bokeh on that raindrops. Hope you like it.

Camera: Canon EOS 450D
Exposure: 0.067 sec (1/15)
Aperture: f/5.6
Focal Length: 55 mm
ISO Speed: 800
Exposure Bias: -1/3 EV
Flash: Off

This isn't a critique, but for some reason I had a strong reaction to this image -
Usually pictures of lonely cars in the rain make me feel sad or even creeped out (being a woman, isolated cars in a parking lot = not a good situation), but this picture made me think of heading to my car after a night dancing with my friends, coming outside from the heat inside the club and thinking the rain feels nice and cool, and there is my car ready to take me home where we'll sit around and laugh, rehash the night ....
I know its silly, but I thnk the best images are the ones that tell a story, or make the viewer imagine a story of their own.

It's amazing . Thanks for sharing! I'm really loving the bokeh on the ground, as it is different from what I'm used to seeing.

Nice job with this. I love the tones and the way you've composed this.

I like the colors, makes the rain look warm, not damp and chilly.
