Default Light sugar cube

sugar cube light

Made up of about 100 real sugar cubes.

The sugar cubes, not glued or anything are placed, with a little patience, on a black board with a small hole in the middle. In the hole a 5W light bulb was set up. A small piece of see trough plastic was placed to prevent the top layer from falling.

Shot with an Olympus E510 and 12-60mm 1:2.8-4 lens.

(No Photoshop here just a little boost of colors)

I like it! Did you try any other shapes, like maybe a pyramid? Might take a bit more work to stack 'em up that way, though...

I didn't try any other shapes. A pyramid is a nice idea though I think they will be difficult to stack around the light bulb.

Her is another image of the setup after the shot, it gets really messy.
