Can you explain how you did the "painting" a little more. I tries this and it just looks foggy or streaky. Depending on how fast i move the light. Also, the speaker wont illuminate like yours did.

Use the cardboard to reflect the light as I stated in the first post, this should help bringing down the light intensity so that you can do slower motions without overexposing too much. Everything else is just experimentation. Try changing angles of the light, different movements etc. My speaker is well lit because the light was actually pointed at it and the swirls and swooshes you see are mostly reflected light. Hope this helps...

Wow what a fantastic imagine, i shall have to give this a whirl, thankfully my bathroom has no windows so is perfect for light painting.
