    Default Strawberry and Cream

Who doesn't love cold fresh strawberries and cream?

Here is a photo i took in 2011

    How i took it :

    Toys :

    Nikon D7000
    Nikkor 105mm 2.8
    Sb700
    Tripod
    Wireless Trigger

    Items :

    Tripod
    Spoon
    Lots of strawberries
    Cream
    Black sheet

    Steps :

So for this shot i taped the spoon to the handle of the tripod and had it slightly angled downwards. Using another tripod i mounted my flash with a small soft box at about 45 deg from the subject.

The Camera was set to rear curtain sync at f/11 and shutter speed at 1/250 if i remember correctly.

The shot was taken in the dark and using only the rear curtain flash to freeze the moment. Found out that it was the best way to get the sharpest image.

After many many tries.. and i mean many i finally got a shot that i was really happy about =D

Inspired from another photographer who also loved strawberries and cream!

    Cheers

    Jon

Nice shot, strawberries splashing in milk sure does give a great effect, with the red and white. I've played around with something similar once - dropping a strawberry in a glass of water.

Looks delicious! As for the cream I would like to see it just a little bit sharper around the edges, but nice image overall.

I totally agree. It is a nice shot. You should have probably gone with a wider lens to get a greater DOF for the cream to be sharp.

Saying that, great job and a lot of hard work!

I thought that you used a Nikon. My best friend uses one and has the same quality pictures as well. The best camera around.

    Default Excellent

Great shot! Well done! I'm not quite sure what you mean by 'taped the spoon to the handle of the tripod" however... wish I could actually see that...
