Default Simple Pregnancy Shot

This is a simple pregnancy shot with no studio lighting. I'm a big fan of getting it right in camera, without having the need for a great deal of post processing.

For the lighting, I drew the shades in the living room to let a sliver of light in and that’s it. The sun was my light for the shoot.

The reason I ask is that it seems you missed focus. The centre point would have been right above her navel and there's little/no detail there to focus on.

Default Soft Focus

I feel as though the soft focus works for this photo whether intentional or not. I don't need to see every crevice and bump on her navel! I like the B&W version the best! Thanks for sharing!

I totally agree. I don't want to see her navel in detail. I like that my eyes are more drawn to the bear hugging her belly. If the navel was in focus, It would be the first thing my eyes would pick up. It wouldn't have the same effect. Nice job!
