Glass oil lamp back lit with spotlight reflected off mirror to the left and behind scene.
f/20, 54 seconds, ISO 125 at 50mm. No flash used. Spotlight applied on the scene in a dark studio from left and right as needed . Slightly brightened in Canon DPP More images at: FrankSchmidt | RedBubble ---------------- ------------- |

The other items are very distracting, as there isn;t enough light to make out what they are, but there is enough light to see they're there

Hi,
I don't mean to come across as rude, but you currently have 10 threads open on the front page alone, all of which show pretty much the same concept of still life, with a basic explanation of the settings used. Rather than posting so many very similar threads, at the expense of others trying to get their work seen & to help others learn varied techniques, would you not agree you would be better served, for instance creating one big thread that you continually add images to demonstrating variations? As for the images themselves, they often seem to lack a strong subject, but perhaps that is a feature of still life. (It's not an area of photography I have explored). Paul
