Default DIY budget headshot

Camera Model: Canon EOS REBEL T2i
Focal Length: 50mm
Exposure Time: 1/250
Aperture: f/5.0
ISO: 100

Here is the setup. Used two budget, shoot-through-umbrella strobes from Amazon ($160), a white fleece sheet clipped to a door frame, and a cheap reflector from amazon ($30) to help bounce some light back on her hair which isn't entirely necessary. Shot this photo of my reluctant girlfirend in my dining room. Just an example of a decent portrait from a budget setup. Control the lighting well and work with your subject to get multiple expressions and interesting eyes and you'll get a decent head shot.

Blemishes and stray hairs were touched up in photoshop. Also, shooting in RAW is invaluable when shooting anything, but especially portraits because of the extra control you get afterwards to save shots you might not have perfectly exposed during the shoot.

C&C welcome.

I think it looks awesome! Wish my shots turned out that good!

And hello fellow Minnesotan.
