That night I was posting and having problems with my baby girl at the same time and didn't pay that much attention. I thought we were dicussing BOKEH.

Am I wrong?
Could have sworn he had a different link up that night...my bad.

I am confused on how I am selling the product in my signature?
I list my camera equipment and a link to where I post my pictures on blogger. How is that selling the bokeh disk product?

Many people on this forum have links to the sites where they post their pictures and some of their links are to sites that are businesses. So that comment confuses me.

I list a consumer grade not a professional grade Canon camera because that is what I own. I do not even list the bokeh disks in my signature. I did not link back to them until I was asked about them. I originally posted showing a picture I took using them because I personally liked the picture and thought it was worth sharing.

I'm in the wrong here and will admit it.

Huh?

Of course we've all been discussing bokeh. Specifically, the use of bokeh-shaping tools to alter the portrait the OP posted.

You were actually the one that started telling the OP (as I quoted you above) he needed better kit and a better lens and not to "cheat the system" by using the exactly appropriate tools for the job.

How is it anything that I, Os, or the OP said NOT about shaping bokeh?

Don't worry, I believe Homank is confusing you perhaps with someone else. Nothing wrong with your signature. If yours is wrong, i'm getting banned!

Anyway.. not sure if there's any more point belaboring this Homank, you stated your opinion. I felt it was wrong and stated my opinion. No more to be had down that line of conversation, right? Especially seeing as it's no longer about the OP and his topic.

Again, OP, well done trying something new (to me) and interesting (to me).

No worries -
I do like the effect of that filter. I have a few cokin filters that do something similar that I like using when I am at the race track to get the cars look like they have an extra sparkle to them.

studysession,
There are some pretty amazing things you can do with bokeh-shapes! You're having much better results than I had with the ones I tried to make (I have a strong suspicion my math was wrong lol I should just buy the set like you have). It's definitely try to get the focus bang on, at least it was for me, because by then, the darn shape has turned upside down or whatever!

Either way, I like the examples you've put up so far (especially the one with the little girl. If that had been in focus it would have been better than it is, but it's STILL a really great picture).

As for the discussion with Homank.. I'm so confused I'm just going to leave Fuzzy a cup of nice hot chocolate, spiked with his favorite poison, and a care package to Homank, and slip out quietly.

Thanks for the compliments. Yeah on the little girl it would of been better if the focus on her was more clear than it was. But still a cool shot of her. Right now it's all about practice for me but mean time I like sharing what I am doing.
