Default Of Color and Texture

Trying to show texture and colors in one exposure.

I really wanted this to be: SOOC.

Failed again ! I had to straighten it slightly in Picassa. Camera level off I guess.

f13, ISO 125, 50mm lens. Tried it with red wine which didn't show up too well. Lighted with spotlight from left and right as needed.

2 tricks: dig out candle wick from wax to get it taller for balance; and use mirror camera left and behind to bounce light off the wine glass from the rear to fill out the form. 47 seconds of open shutter in a dark room.

If this picture really gives you problems or my methods bother you; I apologize.

It's great that you supported the candle to make it taller! Your photos look good. Why do you feel sorry just for nothing??

Both of these photographs look great. I like them!!
