How to get a "Glitter Star" on a wine glass. (You might be able to do this with a flash snap-shot: if so, I'd like to see it.)
f/20, ISO 160, 50mm, for 52 seconds. This is all done with a hand-held spot light in a totally dark room. The little star bright on the wine glass comes from first lighting the scene on camera left, then blowing out the oil lamp wick after 3 seconds and then shining the spot on the wine glass from camera right side so the reflection bounces back at the camera lens. There may be other ways to do this but I don't know what it would be. See more at: FrankSchmidt | RedBubble |

Almost specular highlight, at that small of an aperture, will give you a sunstar of some kind.
