This was fun! I enjoyed all the other contributions. Here is mine. Our home has an open floor plan between the kitchen and family room, so our tree doesn't have a wall behind it. I kept the shot dark to eliminate the clutter in the background. The settings were f/22, 15 seconds, lens at 23mm, ISO 800. I'm still learning, so any suggestions are welcome.

Thanks Tony for responding. I thought that may have a factor in the star points. In looking at your tree image I see 13-14 points. So then your camera would have that many blade on the aperture?

You're welcome Claudia, I shot my tree with a Canon 16-35mm which has 7 blades; the number of points is double the number of blades, so in my case there are 14.
