sorry to sound naive but can someone explain what bracketing is?

There's no doubt that this is an amazing photo. Here's a little bit info about bracketing for you. In HDR photography a single shot isn't sufficient to achieve a High Dynamic Range. Therefore, the photographers want to take multiple shots varying the exposure and ISO settings to achieve a good range. Bracketing is that process or feature in the Digital Cameras which allows the photographers to do exactly this. Thus, in a simple words, it means taking multiple shots (generally 3 to 5) to capture the scene better. These multiple shots can then be combined or processed by using software like Photomatix Pro and Photoshop to get one good HDR photograph. Hope that helps you! |
