Tried to take a picture of my Pen with my new lens - Tokina 100mm 2.8 macro. The Dof was so shallow I was unable to get a full focus so tried Focus Stacking using Helicon Focus. Took 8 hots at various foci and finally added them all together.

That's a really sharp image. I have this software too and will start to use these winter months for some studio work I am planning. Have you tried the Helicon Remote? Does a very similar job but you can walk away from the camera, make tea, have a sleep and when you come back the images have all be taken and you can then process them. I think it comes with Helicon Focus.
