Sunsets afford some great lighting

I have to admit, in my 23 years I never took the time to enjoy something as simple as a sunset until I bought a camera. That said, the objective for this shoot was to capture the sunset itself. I went up to the local park, which borders a small farm and our small, local airport. Although the sunset pictures came out well, the best pictures ended up being the air planes and the parachute jumpers overhead. Also, the setting sun cast some beautiful light on the barn near by.



Some light editing in LR3 was done. Saturation adjusted, as well as some cropping. The picture was originally shot in RAW.

My camera is a Canon Rebel XS and the lens for this picture is the EF 50mm f/1.8

I like vibrant colors and this is vibrant!
Just bought my 550D I think its the European version of yours so I got happy to see what it can do...
I bought it with a 18-135mm pack lens, very happy with it and my next buy will be the 50mm 1,8.
