That's a great tip. I wonder if it will work for catching birds "On the wing". I like the idea of a deeper DOF, while maintaining a high shutter speed. Thanks for sharing.

This is very cool... I never thought of using a high ISO as a way to get a larger depth of field. I don't know why... it's pretty simple. I just always thought you had to sacrifice DoF for shutter speed.

I'm an idiot.

This is a fantastic shot and great technique. Thanks for posting it. It well help, as I struggle getting the right exposure in the sun when trying to catch my son running.

I always use ISO 100 and never tried on high ISO for noise. But ur one is great!! Thanks a lot for the tip. I'll definitely try this

thanks for the great tip! Will come in handy for when I want to freeze the moment in a sporting event. I don't know why i never thought about ISO. I usually keep the ISO at 200 most of the time during sunny days.

You'll want to experiment since different cameras handle ISOs with different quality. I love my P & S, but if I crank it over 400 it gets really noisy. I'd imagine the picture taken in the OP was taken on a camera with a decent sensor.

I have customised my Pentax K10D so that when I am in Apeture mode the front dial alters the ISO.
