Default The day I met George Washington & Abraham Lincoln

It is not often you get the chance to meet two great American Presidents and on the same day too!!

As you can see, I was in canyon country. I had stopped to take a shot in completely the opposite direction. I had my camera, etc all set up on my tripod and must have looked as though I was "doing the business" when this truck drove up and stopped. Out got a native Navajao Indian who asked me if I had seen George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. Slightly amused, I of course said "No". He said, "Turn around there they are and this is my grandfather's land"

How many others have missed this amazing natural image? I learnt one very valuable thing that day - look behind there may be an amazing image right behind you. Incidentally, the light was awful so I have turned it into a BW for a little impact - it's the story that I want to convey.

Thanks for your very nice comments. No problem at all with the Navajao Indian. He was more than happy to show us what we had not noticed. In fact he got a kick out of telling us that his grandfather used to call another rock-face, just to the right of the shot, "Indian woman's favorite". I'll leave you figure out what it was shaped like!!!!
