Default Macy's Fireworks!

I used a tripod and used Manual mode. Set my shutter speed to 4 seconds, 2 second self timer, Aperture was f/11 ISO 125, 28mm, these were a few of the best out of the bunch. When I saw the fireworks shooting into the air preburst...i pressed the shutter and by the time it burst (after 2 seconds) my camera had started into the 4 second exposure and captured it all full burst.

Those are beautiful! I watched the last couple of songs on TV, but I don't imagine it compared to being there. I will have to remember your settings. My fireworks photos didn't turn out nearly that good. Can I ask how you focused? Thanks for sharing!

Thank you! I used auto focus. At first I used live view but it was better and much faster through the viewfinder. The camera is a Canon 7D btw. I actually used the tips from the post about how to photograph fireworks right on the main page lol

Nice work! I tried to get out to do the same last night, but due to severe lack of rain the city had the fireworks go off at lower altitudes and I could not see them. Was bummed, but will get over it.
