I got her from a breeder when she was very young.. infact she still couldn't eat solids properly yet and I had to break her pellets for her as well as soak them a little.
She still had her baby feathers.. big black eyes and loved being rapped up in a towl (like a baby). So yes.. she was very tame (if you buy from a proper breeder they should always be as they would be hand fed from birth). They are a handful though, think having a 3 year old kid for 40+ years.. but they are wonderful and very loving. They tend to bond to one person and can be less loving to the others around them, so if there are a few people in your household then you might not be the lucky one, but if you are then you will have and amazing lifetime partner. One last note about how parrots think... If its mine, its mine.. If its yours, its mine.. If your looking at something and I figure out what, that's mine too :P. |

Amazing. What lens did you use? Do you think if I placed some snacks in a mug and left it on my balcony, I'd be able to replicate this shot with any random bird as apposed to a pet???

A tripod and a remote trigger would help .As for the lens I used a DA* 50-135 f2.8, but it was at f5.6 .
