What would you like help with? If you are after critique for a photograph, post in the Critique section under the appropraite subject, ask particular questions and supply the EXIF data along with your photograph. (Reading the rules is somewhat helpful to newbies).

Hey Gary,
If you are going for the flowing effect of water, you will need to slow your shutter speed. Try shooting in the shutter priority setting on your camera if you are using a DSLR. As Paul mentions above, a neutral density filter will enable you to do this in sunlight. Some of my best waterfalls have been shot stacking a polarizing filter and a ND filter in bright sunlight at 5-10 second shutter speed. Try your shot again with a polarizing filter or ND filter and slow your shutter speed down a lot. Keep at it until you are happy. That is the only measure of success in your photography. |
