Default Shooting Moon without DSLR

Hey Guys,
From some days i was trying to shoot the moon but every time i thought of completing the task I was drawn back due to unavailability of a DSLR of my own. I own an Olympus SP 565 UZ .

So i decided to try with my camera only now here goes the way out

Gears used: Olympus SP565UZ , Tripod

Camera settings:

ISO 64
Exposure 1/15 sec
Aperture 7.1
Focal Length 92mm
Flash Used true
Orientation 1
White Balance 1
Metering Mode 5
Digital Zoom Ratio 5.0
Focal Length (in 35mm film) 520

Now after the specifications i must admit the challenges i faced: initially i was getting the photo as a regular one but what i wanted is to shoot the craters of the moon and i finally had to employ both 20x optical as well as 5 x digital zoom and now i can see the craters clearly but when i pressed the shutter button it took nearly 4 minutes to click and the image got blurred and then i poped up my flash and clicked again to get what i wanted with this photo

I promise I will try this one. But this will happen when I could get some extra X's on my point-and-shoot. The 3X is not even showing the moon on my pics. Ha, ha, ha...

Beautiful! TFS. You give me new hopes on capturing the moon. I too was thinking that moon shots would be impossible till I get my DSLR. But now, I can try it out on my SLR-like camera (Fujifilm Finepix S9500).
