Here's a picture I took of a singer friend of mine.


I used a 3 light set up to achieve this look. A beauty dish with an AlienBee 800 behind him and above him pointing down towards him, another AlienBee 800 with a reflector left of frame, to create the highlight on mic and his front side, and a 580ex with a dome diffuser right of frame and closer to the camera direction to fill the shadows up a bit.

Most excellent. Lighting is supurb... great choice of the BD to limit the spill. Allowing the small flare at the top of the frame was also a great move.
