A recent discovery of mine: I tried shooting a splash using continuous light and liked this approach much better then using flash. As with tungsten I can shoot at rapid fire mode....
Here is what I got: ![]() 1. Use continuous light 100w or above household spot light bulb 2. Position diffusion material between the light and the subject 3. Set the camera to 1000/sec shutter speed, adjust iso and f-stop to proper exposure mine was 1000/sec shutter, F6.3, ISO 400 4. Set the shooting mode to continuous / rapid fire 5. Secure the glass at an angle (about 45 degree) to ensure a back-splash 6. You can mix food coloring to funk up your water 7. Pour the liquid and shoot away. 8. p.s. We also trying to put a video together shooting a drop of water using this technique....
